Here are 8 common perfume mistakes that you will want to avoid.
Where do you apply the scent?
Clean and hydrated skin the best of your fragrance. The best way is to apply it right after showering, on your neck and wrist or even chest. You can rub yourself some unscented lotion on the spot where you would like the perfume to be sprayed on, it helps to prolong the performance!
Do you want your perfume to stay with you for a really long time? Then spray a little in your hair or on your clothes.
Don’t overspray or underspray perfume.
You do not want to walk around smelling like a perfume bomb nor people don’t even realize that you smell good, right? You need to find the perfect amount to spray with different perfumes. Rub it? Stop it!
Who told you to do that? I mean you’re not guilty for doing it if you do not know it, but please stop it after reading this! Rubbing makes the top molecules run off much faster, meaning you’re DESTROYING the perfume! If you really feel unpleasant with the moisture on your skin, gently dab twice.
The scent must suit you!
Just because the perfume smells nice, doesn’t mean it is for you. You wouldn’t want to wear an old school woody, tobacco scent to school. Find your signature scent and there is only one way to it: testing.
Store it properly.
Store your perfumes like babies. Take good care of them and they will perform for you! Keep them in a cool and dry place to make them last longer.
